Tomato Cerise seeds from Johnsons are a highly productive, sweet tasting, red cherry tomato. The Cerise tomato is ideal for greenhouse and outdoor cultivation. Cerise tomatoes do require support to grow, take a look at our tomato supports and give your tomatoes the best chance. Cerise Tomatoes are a beautifully sweet and visually pleasing grower, making them a great addition to any garden. For Indoor Sowing: When: From January to March for greenhouse crops and March to April for outdoor crops. Where: In tomato pots, tomato grow bags, trays or seed compost. How: Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or a propagator lid. You'll need to keep your tomato seeds at approx. 15-20°C. Your seedling should appear within 7-14 days. Care: Remove the cover when seedlings begin to appear. At this point transplant to growing position in a tomato grow bag or large pots in the greenhouse from April to May. For outdoor crops: Stand outside for a few days late in late May and make sure to avoid frosts. Relocate your Cerise tomato seeds outside in a spot that gets plenty of sun. Pinch outside shoots regularly and growing tips once 5-6 trusses have set. You'll need to provide support with canes or one of our tomato supports. Ensure to keep the tomatoes moist and weed free. For easy watering and feeding of your tomatoes grow them in our tomato grow pots. Harvest: For crops in a greenhouse, you can harvest between June and October, for outdoor crops August is the best month for harvest.
